DIY Three Letter Word Activity!!

Manha MashAllah is in progress of practicing reading!  But often I have found her that she had  ratify  words  rather than blending letters altogether. ..

She also started Bob books collection 1..based on 3 letter words ! ! In order to make  blending phonics more fun for her...I made an activity for her, where  she make 3 letter words by practicing their sounds!!

A moment of JOY!!

It really  makes a person happy, when u get fruitful result  of your hardwork! So it happens..it was a moment of joy when manha read me a book...then another  and then another! !

Indeed, hooked  on phonics was a great resource gifted to her by my sister! We practice progressive  phonics, hooked on phonics,  used jolly phonics  and starfall app!!

Alhamdulillah  she read by herself  first two books of hooked  on phonics and two books of Oxford Reading Tree Books, stage 1!!
She was happy to read story by herself!! :)

Ltitle steps towards reading!

After a lots activities,  practices of recognizing upper  and lowercase letters and recognizing their sounds  (phonics)...we began practicing blending phonics and start reading three letter words!


For phonics sounds, we play a lot of guessing games...as in "which letter sounds like  ...." or guessing an object which beggining  sounds like. ..." Alhamdulillah now..she always guessed it!

For our blending phonics, we begin with progressive phonics stories. She likes it very much. .and practice them on white boards, with magnetic letters  and with our hand  made cvc cards!!
